The scientific magazine “Carpathians: Man, Ethnic, Civilization” on problems of Carpathian studies is issued since 2009 and is included in the list of professional editions of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, in which the results of the dissertation works on the direction “History”, “Ethnology”, “Archeology” can be published. It is recommended for publication by the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of History, Ethnology and Archeology of the Carpathians (Minutes No. 2 dated October 5, 2011). The scientific journal has a state registration of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine – Certificate Series KV No 15084-3656R dated April 7, 2009, and the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) has been assigned: printed version – ISSN – 2311-889X (Print) and electronic – ISSN – 2415-3842 (Online). The scientific publication was created in order to highlight the results of research on archeology, history and ethnology of the Carpathians, to familiarize the public with the ethnocultural heritage of the region’s population, and to publicize the results of scientific research carried out by domestic and foreign scholars.

The priority thematic directions of the magazine are defined:
1. Results of fundamental research.
2. Actual problems of history and archeology.
3. Scientific research in the field of ethnology.
4. Scientific interests in the field of religious studies, folklore, tourism, philosophy, art studies.
